Region V – Bicol Region (Naga)

The conference in Region V was held on November 12, 2015 in Naga City, Camarines Sur and focused on the coco coir, metalcasting, and healthcare services.

Naga City Mayor John Bongat welcomed the participants from the provinces in the region and Assistant Secretary Rafaelita Aldaba delivered the keynote on behalf of Undersecretary Adrian Cristobal, Jr. She noted that linking agribusiness, manufacturing, and services is necessary towards enhancing the country’s competitiveness. Asec. Aldaba further stressed the importance of close collaboration between the private and public sectors, and the synergy between industry and the academe, in implementing the country’s new industrial policy in order to achieve sustainable and inclusive growth in the country.
